Regarding the issue that the CP82 cannot reconnect automatically, we recommend resetting the device to clear the current connection state and restore the automatic pairing function. Please refer to the following standard steps:
1. First, observe the indicator light status of the device: after power is connected, the red light stays on steadily; a blinking blue light means the device has successfully communicated with the car and entered the state of waiting for a phone connection; a steadily lit blue light means a CarPlay connection with your iPhone has been established successfully.
2. If the device cannot reconnect automatically, reset it in one of the following two ways:
Method 1 (hardware button reset): Find the hidden button on the device. While powered on, press and hold it for 15 seconds and then release it, and the device will perform the reset operation. (Refer to the video for a demonstration: https://youtu.be/XMmziXpX6k)
Method 2 (LAN backend reset): Connect your phone to the device's WiFi (the WiFi name is the same as the Bluetooth name, and the password is 88888888), enter 192.168.1.101 in your phone or computer browser to access the device's LAN backend, select the “Restore Factory Settings” option on the page and confirm to execute it. (Refer to the video for a demonstration: https://youtu.be/rc3s07dGYzk)
3. Friendly reminder: During the reset and the subsequent connection process, please keep the device powered on at all times and avoid cutting off power midway or switching operations too frequently, which may cause connection issues. After the reset is complete, the device will restart automatically, and you can then try pairing and connecting with the vehicle and phone again.
