1. First, confirm whether the sound on the head unit is turned on. If the head unit is muted, the phone mirroring will not output any sound.
2. Media volume on the phone — press the volume keys on the phone to confirm that the volume has been turned up to the maximum
Make sure the phone is not connected to the car's Bluetooth or any other Bluetooth device; otherwise the audio channel will be occupied.
3. If the head unit volume is normal and the phone is not connected to other Bluetooth devices, check the phone's own volume and audio output settings. Open the phone's Control Center and check the audio output option. If “Phone Speaker” is currently selected, sound will only come out of the phone; switch to another mode, and the sound will be played from the head unit after switching.
4. Try switching the car's multimedia head unit function to the radio first, and then switching back to the CarPlay function; the sound can usually be restored.
If the above steps still do not solve the problem, update or reset the device over WiFi. Connect the phone to the device's WiFi (the WiFi name is the same as the Bluetooth name, password 88888888); after the connection succeeds, enter 192.168.1.101 in the address bar of the phone's browser to access the admin page. If a newer software version is available, update it first; after updating, or if there is no update, try resetting the device, then reconnect and test.
If the problem still cannot be solved after the above operations, enter the vehicle model, year and problem description at the very bottom of the admin page, tap Submit Log and take a screenshot after the log is uploaded, then send the screenshot of the successful upload to our customer service staff; the engineer will analyze and handle it for you as soon as possible.
