Since the Play2Video Pro device does not have a built-in GPS, if the system time deviates greatly from the actual time, SSL/TLS certificate verification will fail and cause disconnection from the internet. Please calibrate the time manually by following these steps:
1. In [Settings] → [System] → [Date and Time], first turn off [Automatic date and time];
2. Manually adjust the “Date and Time” below to the current time of your region;
3. Turn off [Automatic time zone] and manually set it to the time zone of your region;
4. After the time has been corrected, the WiFi network can be used normally, and you can turn [Automatic date and time] back on at this point to keep the time accurate later.
If this still does not work, try the following:
1. Check whether the device providing the hotspot is properly connected to the internet and whether mobile data is turned on.
2. Check whether the phone providing the hotspot has been added to a blacklist.
3. You can set the hotspot password on your phone to 12345678, and then simply tap “OK” when the device connects to the phone's hotspot.
If the WiFi is connected but you still cannot access the internet normally, it may also be caused by the following common reasons. Please check them together:
- Confirm the WiFi signal strength; a weak signal or too many physical obstructions may make the network unstable;
- Restart the router and your AI Box device, or go to [Settings] > [System] > [Reset options] and select [Reset all network settings], then reconnect;
- Check whether the router has MAC address filtering, bandwidth limits, time scheduling, or firewall blocking enabled, and make sure it is not blocking the device from accessing the internet;
- Confirm that the AI Box firmware is up to date; the manufacturer may release updates that fix network issues;
- Test internet access with another device (such as a phone) on the same WiFi environment to distinguish whether it is a device problem or a network environment problem.
